Have to say it again, this is a brilliant vid. It's one of the, if not the, best fanvids I've ever seen. And that's not an exaggeration 🤩

The point that should be noted is that Kara Zor-El - regardless of her human name has friend-zone every likely man she has ever associated with. Including the classic Jimmy Olsen from when Supergirl was new in the 1950s and 1960s. Jimmy Olsen should have been re-imagined as Kara's canon boyfriend back then if she had always intended to be straight. To me, it could be argued that even then Supergirl was not in fact straight. It was just that back then no comic-book character could be shown as non-straight. Many say that she is bi-sexual. But. To me, for story writing, I prefer Kara Zor-El to be openly gay and out by the time she finishes high school. And I would have it that she met Siobhan Smythe and Leslie Willis in college and were in the same sorority together. And later Kara meets Natalie Irons through her cousin and becomes a friend. Kara's first serious girlfriend as an adult is none other than Lena Luthor. Kara has a few male friends: Kenney Li from high school(yes I want him alive for Asian representation - as my Gangbuster), Jimmy Olsen, John Henry Irons, and Winn. I just believe that Kara should have more than her wife Lena as ongoing characters in her life.
